We are currently serving locally sourced breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, our special handmade Newfield ice cream & sorbets, delicious homemade cakes, drinks and more!
We have indoor and outside seating available (please call us for indoor table bookings). We also have a children’s playground and a doggy friendly outdoor seating zone, and some new doggy ice cream!

But our ice cream is very good!
Here at Newfield we are one big happy family and we welcome all our customers with open arms.
Our ice cream is handmade at the parlour using fresh milk and cream from local dairy herds . We always have 16 yummy flavours available including sorbets, and where possible we use the best of nature’s bounty from the local area to produce seasonal flavours. Our ‘damsons and cream’ ice cream, made using fruit from our own and friends’ hedgerows was a great summer success, and our Apple and Cinder Toffee Ripple ice cream made using Southwell’s very own Bramley apples proved a hit at the annual Bramley apple festival.
Don’t be fooled into thinking we are a one trick pony! Our carefully created homemade and locally sourced daily menu is a focal point of the Cafe. We offer a selection of main meals from 11.30am ranging from sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes, our homemade burger or our quiche and soup of the day. Not forgetting our much loved Famers Fuel Breakfast or our selection of breakfast times available from 10am. Alongside this we have our seasonal Specials menu which always tempts those fancying something a little different! We also have a varied Children’s Menu to stop the little ones tummies rumbling!
What use is all this delicious ice cream and food if you don’t have something to wash it all down with? We also have a fantastic range of hot and cold drinks too. Our delicious roasted coffee is locally sourced from Arden and is freshly ground to order in the form of the humble Americano all the way to the indulgent Mocha. For those fancying something a little cooler we also offer a selection of refreshing still and fizzy drinks as well as our popular ice cream milk shakes and floats.
It would be a travesty if we didn’t tell you about the wonderful scenery you’ll be surrounded by when enjoying all we have to offer. With beautiful views of the Nottinghamshire countryside there really is no place like it. Better still our tractor themed outdoor play area will allow the little ones to play whilst you take it all in. (Fear not though, we also have an indoor toy box for when the British weather takes a rainy turn).
